The process of designing a website begins by establishing the customer's needs and wishes. The next important step consists in collecting and evaluating the existing content. An appropriate structuring of the future website can only be conceived after it has been established what text, images and other material it wil contain. A presentation framework is very difficult to develop without knowing exactly what is to be presented.
If the customer already has a visual or corporate identity (a logo, characteristic colours, a tag line, etc.), this will be the key point of departure for the overall interface design process. Experience shows, that an existing visual identity sometimes has to be adjusted for the Web, i.e. for on-screen display, as opposed to print.
The images to be used in the website can be in digital or printed form (in the latter case they require digitalization). As a rule, digital images need to be additionally optimised for the Web. The same goes for other multimedia content, such as video or audio clips.
Before we proceed to the final phase of coding, i.e. actually making the pages, we present drafts to our customers, which provide them with a detailed insight into the look and feel of their future site. It is in this phase, that the final adjustments are made.
We offer complete user interface solutions for web applications, which include buttons, icon sets and any other graphic elements. The templates are provided as validated XHTML or HTML documents with the corresponding CSS and Javascript files.
We also offer the service of localizing existing interfaces for English-, German- and Croatian-speaking audiences. In implementing content management systems, we rely on the leading product in the world of open-source software, the Joomla CMS. The use of open-source software has at least two important advantages for the customer: 1) he does not carry the cost of application development, but only pays for its adjustment and implementation; 2) he does not depend on the person or company rendering this service, but can at any time entrust someone else with the maintenance of his CMS.
The Joomla CMS is developed by a large community of enthusiasts, and many free extensions that widen its native functions are available.
We offer original templates for Joomla which will distinguish your website from others based on the same system.
We can give you a quote only after the requirements described in the first column on this page are met, i.e. when we know what the customer wishes and what content he wants to be presented. Without knowing this, we cannot even remotely assess the time necessary for the conception and implementation of his website.
Prospective customers often approach us with the question: "And how much would a page cost?" Let us use a popular comparison: for a building contractor it makes a big difference whether he is to build a cottage or a three-storey building, a hut or a summer palace. Just as he cannot formulate his offer on a per-brick basis, we cannot do it on a per-page basis.
An exception to this rule is the coding of pages based on a given design template, i.e. the case when we are expected to produce (X)HTML documets and edit the provided graphic elements on an elementary level.
We will be happy to perform a free and non-binding analysis of your needs and propose a suitable solution for you.
To this end, you can fill in a simple online form which enable us to give you a cost estimate.
